Time for an update!

So total weight loss as of today, 51.5 lbs!!! Not as amazing as I'd hoped for but its a great start. I wasn't seeing much difference so I decided to do a side by side picture a few weeks ago of Christmas 2014 vs Christmas 2015 to see if I noticed a change in the photos. So here it the photo.
I'm so happy I can finally see a bit of a difference. Its been a long time coming.  So last week I signed up for the Gold's Gym 12 Week Challenge. Its a body transformation challenge, you work out eat right and see what the results are in 12 weeks. Granted this isn't anything new to what I have been doing except my trainer has kicked up my routine and we're making sure I get the most from every workout. The new circuit is absolutely brutal but I'm already seeing results as I've lost 2.5 lbs since Thursday.  I can't wait to find that healthy me I know is buried somewhere in this body!

It's Paying Off

I realized today it'd been awhile since I've posted. Things have been going well. I'm down 15lbs. I've lost 5 inches off my waist and 4 inches off my hips.  My clothed fit better, I've actually gone down a size. I went and tried bathing costumes on and I can wear a 22 instead of a 26. I'm so happy.  Workouts have been going great, Colton keeps my on my toes and is always changing things up and challenging me.
I have so much more energy since I started this down this path. I'm beginning to see the healthier, happier,  and thinner me.

It's A Constant Struggle....

I'd be lying if I said I can't wait to hit the gym everyday after work. Sure there are days I look forward to going, because I feel so much better after I workout. On the flip side,  there are days I just don't feel like going. I could give in to these days and go home and watch tv, go shopping  (that counts as cardio right?) or whatever but I don't,  I make myself go to the gym.
Today was one of those days, mostly because yesterday at my weekly weigh in I hadn't lost any weight. Not even an ounce! What a disappointment.  We went over how I'd been eating, etc and couldn't find the culprit.  So we're switching up the routine and hopefully I'll see some results next week.
Todays cardio was good, except the machine wanted to keep me on there forever. So I decided to do the hill workout on the treadmill today, normally a 25 minute routine with a 5 minute cool down.  I set it up put in my earphones, turned on the TV and away I went. 50 minutes later it still hadn't taken me to the cool down! Crazy! As my legs were beyond tired I decided to hit the cool down button myself. Upside, I burned almost 500 calories!!!

And I Even Ate Pizza

Ok let's be honest,  I thought the weigh in this week was going to be a disaster.  I had pizza on Friday, and ate out again on Saturday having not only pasta, but ice cream for dessert!!! So imagine my surprise when I stepped on the scale this afternoon and had lost 4lbs from Thursday.  Seriously I was shocked! I had worked hard all week exercising and I had also hit my calorie goal everyday (except Sunday). It just goes to show you not to second guess your trainer when he says you need a certain number of calories and your body will burn more fat he means it.  I feel awesome!  I'm also finding my clothes are fitting better and I have more energy. Ready for more big news? I upped my weights again on almost all my leg exercises. I'm up to 250 on the leg and calf presses and 130 on the other leg exercises. Everyday I'm getting stronger and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's cardio workout.

Unexpected Result

As its Thursday  today was a cardio day. I figured I'd do a quick weigh in before hand and low and behold I have gained a pound. I have been working so hard this week to meet my calorie goal, getting my workouts in, etc. I really though I would be down another pound atleast not up a pound. It's perplexing and a bit discouraging.
Oh the plus side I did 40 minutes on the treadmill and got up to an incline of 9% for a few minutes. I made fajitas for dinner and found a healthy alternative to sour cream. Nonfat greek yogurt tastes delicious on a fajita.

Double or Nothing

So today I decided to do cardio in addition to my usual Wednesday resistance workout. I managed to get up to an incline of 6 today for 5 minutes. Granted it was only 5 minutes but that's the highest incline I've done so far. I'm tired and sore, but I feel awesome.
The new resistance routine I do now, is still difficult. It uses muscles that I haven't worked before, but that's the whole point right?
I was tempted to weigh myself today, but decided I'll wait til tomorrow. I'm hoping I have more progress this week.
Even though I'm not losing a lot of weight I am feeling better. I sleep better at night and my mood is definitely up.

Packing in Those Calories

Well I made it to 2300 calories yesterday, and no I didn't eat a chocolate bunny, a bag of cheetos, or a burger and fries thank you very much. I ate healthy, nutritional food. It's taking some getting used to this eating 5 times a day as opposed to one. Now my body just needs to get with the program and start burning more fat!
